THE STORY SO FAR

The Freedomhouse Church began on a blanket under a tree in the summer of 2004. Knowing we’d look a bit silly asking a park full of people to come to church under a tree, we invited them anyway. And a funny thing happened, people came.

And we met with God that day.

Eventually, as more people came and we moved from our little blanket to various other “indoor” venues, one thing has never changed. There was no limit to the kinds of people God was touching. Skaters, street musicians, business owners, homeless and even the occasional estate agent were responding to the good news of Christ. People were always the priority, and some strange things have been done to get their attention.

In 2005 we had a back garden barbecue that brought over 200 people to Brandon and Pamela’s flat. They made the glorious
