The Story So Far… pt 3

As of 2010…

Pamela and I have decided to move back to California in September. Making the decision and revving up the nerve to tell the church was easily one of the hardest things we’ve ever done. Even harder than telling our family we were coming here!

We have come to a stage in our marriage and ministry where we need to be a part of something rather than leading at this time. After 7 years of intense church planting we came to a place where are limits were becoming very obvious.

Rather than burn out, we have decided that we need to rest and regroup and get ready for whatever God has next. Pamela are in this race for the long run and want to get to the finish line with a healthy marriage and family intact.

We have cherished every second spent here in the UK and will dearly miss the people we have befriended (and/or offended:) Either way we have tried our best to leave an authentic testimony of following Jesus. We came here with no clue what to do, but I hope even our mistakes can be remembered for good somehow.

Freedomhouse UK will stop meeting as a congregation, but continue as a people who follow Jesus in whatever they do (we hope!) Whether or not you were part of the church, a supporter, or even a casual observer—Pamela and I thank you all for adding to the story.
