Beautiful Feet

Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses…Joshua 1:3
Our feet were made for incredible feats. Not just athletic achievements or daring YouTube stunts. We can make courageous steps of faith that actually amaze God.
I have the highest respect for anyone who can do perfect pirouettes or run a 4-minute mile, but my feet won’t be attempting those things anytime soon. These size 10′s have had a good day if nothing was tripped over or stepped in accidentally (London dog bombs that is). My soles have learned to measure success how by close they stick to adventure trail of God’s call. They can usually tell if they’re on the right track by those funny feelings that accompany most ‘steps’ of faith.
Some tell-tale symptoms are as follows:
- Nervous Pacing
- Clammy Hands
- Fluttery Stomach
- Not Having A Clue What To Say
- Wild Imaginations of Every Possible Thing That Could Go WrongOne or more of these symptoms will also be accompanied by a strange, yet secure sense that ________________ is exactly the right thing to do at this time. But even so, much time is usually spent avoiding ________________.
The Bible contains a mysterious code that can only be deciphered by the keys of the feet. Stories of foot washing, gospel sandals, clay-toed statues, and awkward pedicures are just some of the clues that God has given us. We can know the codes, but their true meaning will never be discovered without shaky steps of faith.
These clues help us to know what to do and where to go with the 10 toes and 56 bones below us. But where they actually go is up to us. Let’s make some footprints on some scary territory for God’s glory.
Will you step towards the great ___________________ this week?
